The history of ambaji temple in gujarat

The history of ambaji temple in gujarat

It feels wonderful to me to come to Ambaji, which is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Ambaji is a small pilgrimage town  known for Ambe Temple and is thronged by large crowds at any given time of the year, especially during the Full Moon day. It is situated about 180 km from Ahmedabad and 50 km from Mount Abu on Gujarat and Rajasthan border. I went to the temple at 9 a.m., which was a good time, as I realised later on. That day being Sunday, I saw a long line that extended out to the road, with people waiting to get inside the temple to get a glimpse of the goddess.

Somnath Temple - Somnath Temple is located in Prabhas Patan near Veraval in Saurashtra, Gujarat on the west coast of India. Somnath is the first Jyotirlinga of 12 Jyotirling of Lord Shiva. This is an important place of pilgrimage and sightseeing. This place is considered very sacred on the basis of the ancient ancient stories. Somnath means "God of Som".
Somnath temple is known as eternal shrine. The last time it was repaired in November 1947, when Vallabhbhai Patel came to Junagadh, the decision was taken to repair it. After Patel's death, the work of repairing it was carried out by the Kanialal Standardlal Munshi, which was then the Minister of the Government of India.

This temple is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. There are three awards every day, at 7 in the morning, 12 noon and at 7 in the morning. It is said that this place is named after Bhalka, where Lord Krishna ended his leela on earth.
Shivaling found in Somnath is considered one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of India, it is also Shivaji's main place. There are many mythological stories of this Shivling being established here. This holy Jyotirlinga has been established only where Lord Shiva gave his views. In fact 64 Jyotirlingas are considered, but 12 of these Jyotirlingas are considered to be the most important and sacred.

One of Shivaji's 12 Jyotirlingas is in Somnath and the rest is in places like Varanasi, Rameswaram, Dwarka etc.

Since ancient times, Somnath has been a sacred pilgrimage place, since the time of the Triveni confluence, people have believed its greatness.

It is said that Chandra Bhagwan Som had lost his charm due to the curse here and that was the bath in Saraswati river. As a result, the Moon increased and it decreased and it decreased. Its city, Prabhas, is meaningful and it is also known as Someshwar and Somnath, according to ancient traditions.

History of Somnath Temple - Somnath Temple History
According to the traditional documents of J. Gordon Melton, the first Shiva temple built in Somnath was built in the old times only. The second temple was built in 649 CE by the King of Vallabhbali.

It is said that the Arab governor of Sindh, Al-Junaid, destroyed it in 725 CE. After this, in the year 815, Gurjara-Pratihar Raja Nagabhatta II constructed the third temple, it was made of red stone.

But there is no historical witness of Al-Junaid's attack on Somnath. While Nagabhata II definitely came to Saurashtra to visit this shrine. It is said that Solanki King Mulraj would have constructed the first temple in 997 CE. While some historians say that Solanki Raj Mulraj had rebuilt some of the old temples.

It is said that many times the ruler had also suffered damages, but some of the kings had also done repairing this historic holy place.

When the Delhi Sultanate occupied Gujarat in 1297, it was dropped for fifth time. Mughal emperor Aurangzeb dropped it again in 1706. The temple that was built at this time was built by India's Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and on December 1, 1995, the President of India, Shankar Dayal Sharma, dedicated it to the nation.

Prabhasirtha was known in 1948 as Prabhas Patan. The same name had its tehsil and municipality.

This was the main town of Junagadh principality. But after 1948, its tehsil, municipality and Tehsil Kachhari merged with Veraval. The temple was repeatedly refuted and restored, but Shivling stayed in it.

There is a pillar on the seashore in the south of the temple. It is indicated by placing an arrow on it that there is no land in the middle between the Somnath temple and the South Pole. Regarding the ancient temple situated in the pinnacle of the temple, it is believed that it is the temple of Parvati ji. The work of arranging and operating the temple of Somnathji is under the Somnath Trust.

The history of Karani mata temple in Rajasthan

The history of Karani mata temple in Rajasthan

Rajasthan is famous for its historical heritage and wondrous temples throughout the country. The temple of Karani Mata located in Rajasthan is also famous. There are more black mice than the devotees in this temple. By the way, rats are called 'kaba' and these kaboos are regularly served with milk, laddus and other food items. It is believed that every temple of devotees who come to see in the temple is completed. It is said that the temple of mice with rats ...

- A temple of Karani Mata located in Deshnok, about 30 kms away from the historic town of Bikaner, Rajasthan, also called 'mice mata' or 'temple with rats'. The temple of Karani Mata is a temple where 20 thousand mice live and the devotees who come to the temple get the mesmerizing offerings of rats only.

The stench of rats not coming to the temple

- It is surprising that even after having so many mice there is no smell in the temple at all, till date no disease spreads. Even so, the devotees did not get sick by eating the juices of rats.

Know in the slides ahead why the mother had been engaged in the service of people except married life ...

Karani Mata, whom the devotee considers to be the incarnation of Mother Jagadamba. It is said that Karani Mata was born in 1387 in a Charna family. His childhood name was Raghubai. Raghubai was married to Kiploji Charna of Bhatika village, but shortly after marriage, her mind got bored with worldly life.

Later, Raghubai married Kipoji Charna by marrying her younger sister Gulab and putting herself in the service of the mother and devotion of the people. Due to public welfare, supernatural work and miraculous powers, Rigwai is worshiped by local people in the name of Karani Mata.

It is believed that Karani's mother lived for 151 years. At present, where this temple is situated, Karahi mother worshiped her goddess goddess in a cave on there. This cave is still located in the temple premises.

It is said that Karani Mata was Jyotirlin in the year 1538. After being their Jyotirlin, devotees started worshiping him by establishing their idol, which has been continuously continuing since then.

- Karani is also the Kuldevi of Bikaner Raj Bharna. It is said that with his own blessings, the establishment of Bikaner and Jodhpur principality was established. The present temple of Karani Mata was built by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner principality in the beginning of the twentieth century.

In addition to the rats in this temple, the excellent workmanship made at the main entrance of the marble, large salts of silver lying on the main door, a large bed of silver kept for the offerings of maternal gold umbrella and rats is also the main attraction.

Thousands of mice roam the same way inside the Cis temple of Karani Mata. There is the rule of rats inside the temple. As you enter the temple, there are mice everywhere. The mood of mice can be estimated from the fact that you have to go dragging your feet to reach the main statue inside the temple. Because if you lift your feet, you may come under it and the rat may be injured, which is considered inauspicious.

Twenty thousand black mice
In this temple there are some white mice with about twenty thousand black rats. These rats are considered to be more sacred. It is believed that if you see white rat then your wish will be fulfilled. That's why people's eyes often look for white rats.

One of the mice of this temple is that the Mangala Aarti, which takes place at 5 am in the temple and at 7 o'clock in the evening, most of the mice come out of their bills during the evening arti. These two times most of the rats are the goddess quartet. Prasad, who is offered to mother, first eat the rat and then it is distributed. To protect these rats from the eagles, vultures and other animals, the fine places are found in open places in the temple.
Rats living in Karani Mata Temple are considered to be the children of mother. According to the story of Karani Mata, once Karamani mother's step son (son of her sister Gulab and her husband) Lakshman, located in Kolayat Kapil Sarovar, drowned in an attempt to drink water. When Karani mother came to know of this, she prayed to Yama, God of death, to revive her again.

- Firstly, Yamraj refused, but later he was forced to revive him as a rat. However, in the folk songs of Bikaner, a different story of these rats is also told, according to which once an army of 20000 soldiers came to draw on the country which Mother made her a rat with her glory and kept her in service.
